The time has flown by so quickly I can barely keep up with my work and family let alone my website so my apologies for the lack of updating! I have been in touch with pet rescue people called "Rescue Me" from all over South Africa and they are battling to find homes for these lovable dogs and cats. Should anyone be able to help in Cape Town / Gauteng / KZN please contact them on their facebook profile Rescue Me or email me for an updated list of animals needing good homes! (The list is a PDF file and there is one separate one for each province.) Archived news News May 2008 Hi to all my friends from the back end of May 2008! There has been an overwhelming response to the article published in the Rapport about Hannes Botha and his mission to do the work God has set for him. Hannes Botha is the chairman of the Zimbabwe Pensioners Support Fund (ZPSF) and collects and drives food, medicine and clothing to the elderly and a childrens home in Zimbabwe from South Africa. He or one of his team members drive a huge truck and trailer once a month loaded with hampers of food, donations and purchases made from cash donations. There is a new webpage on the Sewood.co.za website. This is a very important webpage as it deals with the poverty stricken area in Margate called Masinenge. Our church, together with a few others have found a desparate need for childcare facilities in the informal settlement (squatter camp) of Masinenge. So the ladies got together and are running a creche and feeding kitchen in Margate, together with two lovely ladies who have volunteered to be daymothers. We are seeking good second hand or new clothing that will be warm enough for the children to be comfortable during the cold winter months. Please can I ask people to search their hearts for the compassion to give whatever can be given so as to make life more bearable for these people who have very little in life. 	Extra News Oct 07! The Zimbabwe Pensioners Support Fund (ZPSF) is collecting donations for the starving elderly in Zimbabwe. These people are stranded in the old age homes with little or no food due to the many shortages in the country. The KZN South Coast members of the ZPSF keep in contact and meet on a regular basis to pack apple boxes full of non perishables to send up with the chairman, Hannes Botha on one of his monthly trips to Zimbabwe.
